Otto Schott Research Award

The Otto Schott Research Award for outstanding scientific achievements was first presented in 1991.


Since then, this award has been presented every two years to recognize excellent researchers for their scientific and technological achievements in basic and applied research in the fields of glass, glass-ceramic and related advanced materials.

The world-renowned Otto Schott Research Award is awarded for individual achievements, but also the work done by smaller groups. It is endowed with a total of 25,000 euros.
